Rigorous Standards-Based Unit Design
I design units of instruction with measurable outcomes and challenging tasks requiring higher-order thinking skills that enable students to learn the knowledge and skills defined in state standards/local curricula.
Scope and sequence are high priorities in lesson/unit development, and most lessons build on the learning of prior lessons.
My courses follow the curriculum maps that I had designed for them, and that align to the Massachusetts Visual Arts Frameworks.

This was collaboratively developed with the elementary art teachers and with the input of the district's Science Center coordinator.
