Rigorous Standards-Based Unit Design
I design units of instruction with measurable outcomes and challenging tasks requiring higher-order thinking skills that enable students to learn the knowledge and skills defined in state standards/local curricula.
Scope and sequence are high priorities in lesson/unit development, and most lessons build on the learning of prior lessons.
My courses follow the curriculum maps that I had designed for them, and that align to the Massachusetts Visual Arts Frameworks.
